That's exactly why most homeowners want help from a kitchen designer to get both function and great design. We have a dedicated design department that helps clients design custom kitchens that are unique to them.

when designing your kitchen

  • Layout of your kitchen: The kitchen is a dynamic space, and the layout should fit the way you use it, not the other way around. Consider whether the current layout suits you or needs changing. Zone planning matters for a functional kitchen with a good work flow.
  • Storage: Good storage is vital for any kitchen renovation. It’s frustrating when big pots don’t fit any cabinet, or appliances clutter the benchtop because the cabinets aren’t tall enough. There’s a lot of clever storage available today that our designers build into your kitchen for function and a tidy look.
  • Materials of your cabinets: Our designers suggest the right materials for your kitchen depending on your family. If you have small kids, for example, they may suggest scratch- and fingerprint-resistant cabinets that won’t damage easily.

  • Hardware: Good-quality hinges and runners matter, so you don’t have cabinets dropping or drawers that won’t glide with today’s soft-close technology.
  • Handles or handle less: Our designers will also ask you whether you want a contemporary/modern design with a no handle set up or if you would like handles for a more classic/traditional style. It may seem like a small detail for your kitchen design, but it does change the overall look of your kitchen as well as

  • Ergonomics: This refers to the ease with which you can find, and retrieve your utensils, pantry items, condiments, and food items in your kitchen. Older kitchens often have deep cabinets, and you must move things around to find your utensils or panty items. Kitchens today however, do not have this problem with pantries that can be pulled out, corner cabinets with magic corners etc. Our designer will help you design a kitchen that focuses on these details for a kitchen design keeping ergonomics in mind.

  • Technology: Technology plays an important role in kitchens today whether it may mean sensor lighting, SMART fridges, Voice activated appliances and much more. They are incorporated to make a kitchen more convenient for our busy lives.

  • Style and Design of your home: Your kitchen’s design should complement the design of the rest of your home. For example, if you have a classic villa then it may look jarring to have a modern kitchen design. Instead, our designers may recommend a more classic kitchen renovation with modern conveniences.

Design

Our in-house design department works closely with clients to understand their scope of work to create 3D drawings and renderings for their project. Our Kitchen designers also work in an advisory capacity for our clients as they have years of experience in the innovative cabinetry materials available today. This results in Kitchen Renovations that are Beautiful yet Affordable.

Manufacturing

We manufacture our cabinetry right here in Auckland with short lead times as we only use local suppliers. We use state of the art machinery to manufacture our cabinetry and use German Laser Edge bander for final finishing of all cabinets eliminating the need to manually finish the cabinets.

Attention to detail

Installation

We store the cabinets in our warehouse till it is time for installation as per your request. The actual installation process is managed by a project manager and takes 2 days. Once you have signed off on the installation and are satisfied of the quality then we will consider you project signed off.

This leads to shorter lead times when we order your materials. In most cases we once you have decided on the materials of your kitchen, it takes 1 week to order and receive the materials which are ready for manufacturing.

2. Customisation and Personalisation

We do not produce cookie cut designs as we realise that every home and family is different with unique tastes and needs. Our strength is the level of customisation we provide for our client homes. We work closely with homeowners and their families to design their spaces. We do not see ourselves as a corporate and all our projects are personalised for our clients.

3. German Laser Machinery

All our cabinetry is manufactured using completely automatic machines with laser technology. The final finishing of cabinets is done using our German Laser Edge Bander which requires no manual buffing, gluing, painting, or banding of edges.

This results in perfect and precise finish as no part of manufacturing is done manually.

4. Installation

We provide full installation for kitchens, laundries and all other cabinetry. The installation process takes 1-2 days with minimal disruption to you. Thanks to our strict recruitment policy at Little Giants, we only work with the best technicians to install your cabinetry. Once installation is complete, your space is cleaned by professional cleaners.

5. Project Management

There's a project manager for every stage of your project, from design through to installation. They also carry out a quality-assurance walk-through during installation to make sure our technicians are meeting our quality standards.

6. In-House Designers

The great thing about our process is that you only use our designers as much as you want to. If you already have a kitchen design, we can manufacture it without any real need for our designers.

If you don't, our in-house designers will help you choose the right materials and create a functional kitchen and a design that suits your home. Our designers create 3D drawings and renderings so you can see how your kitchen will look before we make it.

Contact Us

Contact us for your Kitchen Renovation by either filling the form on our website or by calling us at 09 837 3450. You can either meet our designer at our showroom or at your home so we can have an initial discussion. We do recommend booking a consultation at your home so we can measure the site as well as get a feel for the space.

Free Estimate and Initial Design

At this stage the designer will take in all the information and develop an estimate to include your wish list and a 3D design to reflect your conversation. This will be sent to you within 1-2 days. Your final proposal and quote are developed once you have decided on your final design and materials.

Finalising your Final Design

If you do decide to go ahead with us then will start finalising your design with our designer. Your designer will help you choose the materials for your cabinetry. 2D designs and 3D renderings are created and kitchen is accurately costed. Once you have chosen your materials, we will provide you with a detailed fixed quote.

Manufacturing Begins

Once we have received your deposit, we will do a final site visit to get accurate measurements of your area. These measurements are design are fed into our automatic machines to manufacture your kitchen or other cabinetry. We will also liaise with the electricians and plumbers to confirm the correct locations on site. Our machines are fully automatic which means that they require no manual finishing.

Delivery and Installation

Your kitchen and other cabinetry will be delivered to your home on the day of the schedule. Our installers will then install all cabinetry which will be overseen by the project manager. The actual installation takes between 1-2 days depending on the extent of your project. Once cabinets have been installed, the bench tops and splash backs will be templated, with installation to follow 10 or so days later. Appliances (hob, oven) are then installed and connected.
Once you are satisfied with your Kitchen Remodel, your project will be signed off and you will receive all your warranties and guaranties for the project.

Really great company to deal with, Eunice did a great design and the laundry looks exactly as planned. Some of the installers didn’t speak English but we got by with google translate or through communication with Eunice and they worked super hard and to an extremely high standard. We’re really happy with the finished product and the price. They also got me trade prices on the new washer and dryer. Before and after pictures attached!

I have worked very closely with Eunice from Little Giant on our kitchen design right through to completion. She has been amazing every step of the way. She is dedicated to her client and will put your best interests at the forefront of everything she does. She accommodated multiple changes that I wanted to implement with the design and made it seamless. I highly recommend Little Giant Interiors! I dealt with Eunice and from start to finish she was attentive, helpful & empathetic. In the design process she created different renders & quotes for me so that I could make informed decisions. In the construction process, she was able to coordinate the varying trades and ensure everything was done as seamlessly as possible, of course not everything was completely seamless, we did have a couple misunderstandings but she dealt with them honourably. I have done renovations throughout my whole house and dealt with many trades and Little Giant Interiors was 100% the best and most honest company I have dealt with.Other than the great customer service, the quality of my kitchen is amazing. I have had my kitchen renovated by Little Giant. Very satisfied with work done here. Staff were friendly and helpful. They arranged me free on-site measurements. They worked very efficiently by getting me back with designs and quotation. We had quite a few discussions about the idea. Staff were very patient with changes and getting new layouts for me. They also organized me to visit workshop to see samples and choose materials, gave a well explanation about the process and advised me what to do. They are really knowledgeable about the project. The whole kitchen was done within 4weeks. They are very contactable to come for making adjustments. Price is affordable and reasonable. Quality is extremely good, plus they had me warranty. Very pleasant and satisfied about the service. I would like to say a big thank you to the staff Ruru and their team for the fantastic job. Highly recommended! : )
